Here is a little bio information on our guests for the evening
Greg Stach – Landmark
Greg is a graduate of California State University at Fresno with a degree in journalism. He didn’t discover his true passion for wine until the mid-1980’s while working as a sommelier in Fresno and Reno. Eager to immerse himself in the wine industry, Greg then went back to school and earned a degree in enology from Fresno State, graduating in 2001. Greg lives in Sonoma County and enjoys indulging in classic Burgundies as well as exploring new Sonoma Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs.
Scott Shirley – Justin
Scott holds a degree in biochemistry and trained his palate at Opus One as an enologist for six years and at Hess Collection as the winemaker for nearly seven years. Scott’s favorite wine to make at Hess was the 19 Block Cuvee, a Bordeaux blend with the unconventional addition of Syrah. Cabernet is still the varietal closest to his heart! Scott resides in Paso Robles with his wife, Margaret, and their two daughters.
